BIOGRAPHY:
PATRICIA VANSTONE
Patricia Vanstone is an award-winning Canadian director, performer, and dramaturge. Equally at home in dramatic and musical genres, she has acted in or directed over 150 productions in Canada and internationally. Her production of BEO’S BEDROOM won a Dora Award. Her performance in the Bop musical GIRLS IN THE GANG received a Dora nomination. She is the recipient of The St Catharines Arts Award for Established Artist.
In 2016, she was the founding Artistic Director of The Foster Festival in Niagara region, where she produced 4 wildly successful seasons and directed 7 world premieres. A number of her productions made Stage-Door.com’s top 10 lists. Pandemic projects included 3 live streamed presentations of WE HAVE TO HURRY for Broadway On Demand and she is delighted to be directing the stage version of the play as part of this festival.
Recent television includes a recurring role on The Handmaid’s Tale (Hulu), A Diamond Engagement (Hallmark), and Beyond Black Beauty (Amazon Freevee).
