BIOGRAPHY:
Jahir Borgo-Christian (they/them) is an actor that found their home in Brooklyn, NY after a successful career in Pittsburgh, PA's regional theatre scene. While in Pittsburgh they featured in productions like 'The Two Gentlemen of Verona,' 'The Odyssey,' and 'Everybody' by Brandon Jacobs-Jenkins, for which they received their first nomination for Best Actor in Pittsburgh. They also originated the roles of Sinbad in 'The Seven Voyages of Sinbad,' and Ethan St. John in 'The Bloodless Jungle,' the latter for which they received their second nomination for Best Actor in Pittsburgh.
After moving to New York, Jahir began seeking opportunities in film and television, and is featured in the award winning series 'Nurses' Station.' They also work as a playwright and screenwriter with upcoming projects like 'Suffering,' an anthology series that strives to dramatize life's moments that we tend to cast off as "mundane." They are also beginning to workshop an untitled two act play that hopes to highlight the struggles of a relationship riddled with "over-therapized" communication.
In their spare time, Jahir runs a headshot business that focuses on actors that are in the very first stages of their acting careers, and offers discounted rates in hopes of giving said actors a strong starting point in their, hopefully, long and successful careers.
