BIOGRAPHY:
Ben has been acting since he was a 10-year-old flying monkey in Denton Community Theater's "The Wizard of Oz." After a capstone performance as Romeo at DCT, Ben went on to study acting at Bennington College where he returned to Romeo and Juliet, this time as an especially lewd Mercutio. A few summers of Shakespeare at the Martha's Vineyard Playhouse was followed by a move to New York City and a shift into filmmaking. Ben's debut feature film as a director was "Cubby," which played festivals worldwide and enjoyed a theatrical release in 2019. He continues to act, while writing and planning future films, and occasionally penning columns on technology and education for socialist newspapers. Ben is married to a spectacular actress named Mae Mitchell, who you should definitely hire for your next project. They live in Brooklyn with their two cats, Masha and Ophelia.
