BIOGRAPHY:
Mahal Bastinado is a disabled POC multidisciplinary from Brooklyn, New York. Mahal's love for story telling started at a very young age. Her consistent passion for creativity brought her to America's Got Talent, the Dumbo Film Festival, and two films set to premiere in late 2024. Mahal is excited to share her projects that shine light on little moments in time. Capturing snippets of life. As an actor, Mahal got her start in theatre at 13 and soon got cast in an off-broadway production of A Christmas Carol not long after. Her love for music brought her the opportunity to sing at the United Nations for Earth Day and quickly into the realm of musical theater. But she doesn’t only tackle stage performance! Mahal fell in love with on camera acting at 15 years old. She collaborated with productions like AwesomenessTv, Teen Vogue, and Seventeen Magazine. After learning that she could be more than a “triple threat”, Mahal went on to study at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York City and achieved a degree in on camera acting and film production. With Mahal’s background in stage performance, on camera acting, writing, and directing, she’s ready to work alongside the new generation of creatives.
