BIOGRAPHY:
Candace Boahene is a Ghanaian-American artist from
from Brooklyn, NY. She received her BA in Journalism from Michigan State University and an MFA in Theatre from Columbia University. She has been in theater productions such as : School Girls; The African Mean Girls Play with the Pittsburgh Public Theater, Romeo and Juliet with the Classical Theatre of Harlem; In the Red and Brown Water; A Streetcar Named Desire; and Mister Paradise (Columbia University). Off-Broadway: To All the Black Girls Who’ve Waited (Ars Nova) and Water (The TankNYC) and Independent Films: Chain Link and Phrenia.
