BIOGRAPHY:
LUIS VILLABON is a Latinx multilingual actor, singer, dancer, director, choreographer, voice-over and teaching artist. His mentor was Tony Award winner Baayork Lee, who gave him his first job as an actor and has since enlisted him as Associate Director/Choreographer for many productions of A Chorus Line domestically and internationally. He was the Associate Director for Antonio Banderas’ Spanish-language version of A Chorus Line in Spain in 2019. New York Theatre credits include: Peter Pan, starring Cathy Rigby (Paramount Theatre @Madison Square Garden); Reefer Madness - Associate Choreographer to Paula Abdul (Variety Arts Theatre); Naked Boys Singing! (The Actor's Playhouse); Erik Ransom's More Than All The World (Theatre for the New City); Barcode (NY Int'l Fringe Festival). First National/International Tour credits include: Jesus Christ Superstar, starring Carl Anderson; Seussical The Musical, starring Cathy Rigby; Grease. Regional stage credits include: Ernesto in Destiny of Desire (The Old Globe Theatre), Jose Fajardo in On Your Feet (Paper Mill Playhouse); Dr. Frank N Furter in The Rocky Horror Show; Jacob in La Cage Aux Folles. Film/TV credits include: Pan Am; 30 Rock; Julie & Julia (Meryl Streep/Nora Ephron); The Wolf of Wall Street (Leonardo DiCaprio/Martin Scorsese).
