BIOGRAPHY:
Rachel Gatewood is a Dallas native actor and artist currently based in Bushwick, New York.
She is a recent graduate of SUNY Purchase and holds a B.F.A in Acting. Rachel is currently being featured in a national commercial for a major beer company that is aired during Sunday night football. She is also featured in the upcoming documentary You Were My First Boyfriend directed by Cecilia Aldarondo and supported by Cinereach, Sundance + A&E Brave Storytellers Award and HBO + IFP True Stories. During the pandemic, Rachel became a member of the Creative Ensemble for the New York based Theatre company, One Year Lease. In 2021, she traveled to Papingo, Greece with the company, where she helped devise and create their latest piece; Wake written by SITI Company Artistic Director Leon Ingulsrud and directed by Ianthe Demos.
An avid theatre goer, Rachel loves seeing all of the art, theatre, dance and music that New York has to offer. When she’s not working, you can find her at The Rubin, hiking Breakneck Ridge, or making imaginary truck voices for the three year old she nannies.
