BIOGRAPHY:
Elena is an NYC based actress who was born and raised in Russia. Acting and work in the community theatre was always a part of her life and the biggest passion since the early childhood. In her home city Samara, she attended the Samara State Institute of Culture (SSIC) where in 2009 received a BA in Theatre with an emphasis on directing. For her graduation piece Elena directed Tennessee Williams’ ‘The Long Goodbye’. Williams is her favourite playwright of all times.
After moving to the USA, she decided to study and explore film as an art that adjoins theatre in many ways and continued her education at the University of North Carolina in Wilmington and graduated as a Film and Performance major in 2018. That’s when she decided to pursue her acting career in the city, she loves the most – New York.
Over the past few years, worked on several projects including feature films ‘Fractals’ (director Eric Norcross) and ‘Life of a Zoe’ (dir. Wanly Florexile/Flo X Films). Elena became the best actress in an indie film ‘Bad News’ (director Sheng Tim Shen) in 2022 according to New York Film Awards.
