Katie lives in a small town with her brother and
her alcoholic mother who is unemployed and
resentful towards her children since the death
of their father. Katie struggles to face the
reality of a world where opportunity has fled,
leaving hope and ambition absent. She must
decide whether to leave or stay as the
people surrounding her remain idle.
