Director – Luke Bond

Luke Bond (Director) has directed, written, and performed plays all over New York. He was nominated for ‘Best Director’ (Asking a Human) at The New York Theater Festival (2017). His play Initiation was produced off-Broadway at the Clurman Theater (2013). Since then, he has had ten plays produced in Manhattan, including Deaf and Dumb (The Davenport Theater, 2016), Folly (The Hudson Guild Theater, 2016), and Outside the Door (Pearl Studios, 2015). He was nominated for ‘Best Lead Actor’ (Foggy Dew) at The New York Theater Festival (2015), and has performed at numerous theaters, including The Cortland Repertory Theater (Sherlock Holmes and the Case of the Jersey Lily), The Point Theater (Research Subjects), The Playroom Theater (Much Ado About Nothing), and many others. He’s been in films such as Squib and Symbiont, and appeared on TV shows such as Girl Code, Mysteries at the Castle (Recurring), and CNN’s The Hunt for John Walsh. He trained at The American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York City.

Romeo – Noam Shapiro
Noam Shapiro is delighted to once again be working with Luke and so many other amazing people. Recent credits include Much Ado About Nothing at the Playroom Theater, Distant Fires at The Alchemical Theatre Laboratory, Post Coitus at the Davenport Theatre, and Les Chienes de Westminster at The Central Arts Theatre. He is a Graduate of the American Musical and Dramatic Academy. Showcase credits include Brooklyn Boy, Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom, and PVT. Wars. Playwriting/directing credits include Radio, which recently had a staged reading at The Brick Theater. He also stars in a series pilot, Cuff, coming soon.

Juliet – Andrea Figliomeni

Andrea Figliomeni is an actress located in New York City. She has been seen in roles including: Jane (Post Coitus), Kate (Burying Davey) Audrey (Little Shop of Horrors), Catherine (Pippin), Adelaide (Guys and Dolls), and Clara (Perfectly Good), and others. She trained at The American Musical and Dramatic Academy.

Mercutio – Christopher Mcintryre
Christopher McIntyre is a graduate from the University of Kentucky. As an associate artist with Random Access Theatre, he made his New York acting debut playing Hortensio in “Taming of the Shrew” Recent credits include: Cloten in “Cymbeline” & Bardolf in “The Merry Wives of Windsor” (Richmond Shakespeare Festival), Buddy in “Holiday Memories” (Bridge Street Theatre), Banquo in “Macbeth” & “Rosencrantz in “Hamlet” (Stag & Lion Theatre Co.), Speed in “Two Gentlemen of Verona” (Moose Hall Theater/Inwood Shakespeare Festival), Scream King in “Gas Station Horror” (People’s Improv Theater), Bureaucrat in “Lysistrata” & Cupid in “The Eight: Reindeer Monologues” (TheAlphaNYC), Simple in “Merry Wives of Windsor” “Burgundy in “King Lear” (Orlando Shakespeare Theater), Luke in “Next Fall” (Mad Cow Theatre), C-3PO in “The Empire Striketh Back” Captain Ralph Burnett in “Fanny Campbell: The Female Pirate Captain” & Farmer Ted in “XIV Candels” (Random Access Theatre), and Jack in “Into the Woods” (Lexington Children’s Theatre).

Tybalt – Nazlah Black
Nazlah Black is a relative newcomer to the big city. She is currently a member of the Hedgepig Ensemble Theatre through which she has played Corydon in their production of Aria Di Capo. She has also had the pleasure of performing as a Dancer/Ensemble member in Rory McGregor’s production of Macbeth. In her previous home of Seattle, WA her recent acting credits were Nahlis in Forward Flux’s The Wedding Gift as well as Arviragus in Greenstage’s Cymbeline. She received her BFA in Theatre from Cornish College of the Arts(2016) and also spent a semester abroad at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in Glasgow.

Benvolio – Nave Barel
Winter’s Tale, Passion Play, All Alone With You, The Days Of Wonder, Macbeth, The History Of Theater Abridged In 10 Min, Ichabod Jordan Died In Contentment, Guess My Name. He trained at the Atlantic Acting School in New York.

Friar Lawrence – Emmanuel Polycarpe
Emmanuel Polycarpe is a New York native, and very happy to be part of this production of Romeo and Juliet. He is a graduate of the Pace School of Performing Arts and would like extend his gratitude for coming out to see this performance. He hopes that all attendees enjoy the result of the casts hard work. Other credits include Flip in Our Lady of 121st St., multiple roles in Queens Boulevard, and Hector in Massacre (Sing To Your Children).

Lord Capulet – Federico Mallet
Originally from Mexico City, Federico came to the US four years ago to get his MFA in Acting at the New York Film Academy. He’s a member of Teatro SEA, Village Playback Theater and The Toy Museum of NY. Previous work includes productions of  Venus in Fur, Rent, Almost Maine, Little Shop of Horrors, The Rocky Horror Show, The Doormen (Fringe Festival) The Long Christmas dinner”, amongst others, some of which he directed and produced.  You can currently see him in the immersive theatrical experience This is Real. www.federicomallet.com

Paris – Joseph Pascone
is a classically trained actor and a graduate of the American Musical and Dramatic Academy. He’s very excited to be a part of such a great cast. His past works include: Wildcards (Mickey), Burying Davey (John, Freddy), and Much ado About Nothing (Hugh Otecake).

Juliet’s Nurse – Devin Nelson
Devin is pleased to be revisiting Romeo & Juliet, having played Juliet in a production at American Globe Theater with The Puppet Shakespeare Players. Additional Shakespeare credits include Hamlet (Bernardo/Guildenstern) and Comedy of Errors (Gaoler/1st Merchant/Luce) with Hip to Hip Theatre Company. Previous Luke Bond productions include Post Coitus, The Relationship Type, Folly, and The Rare Upper Hand, which she cowrote. She has a BFA in Acting from Marymount Manhattan College.

Lady Capulet – Hannah Long
Hannah Long is thrilled to be in her first Shakespeare production with such an exceptional group of actors. Her love for the performing arts started when she was 5 years old and sang her first solo in church, and then increased as she worked on a syndicated radio program called Karen and Kids. Originally from Baltimore, MD, she moved to NYC to study Musical Theatre at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy. Hannah regularly performs with Marquee Productions in the Let’s Broadway Cabaret at the West End Theatre and was most recently seen in the play “Burying Davey”.
